The Covid 19 pandemic forced to close many local businesses. And many have failed to offer an online shop in the last years.

Those who prefer to complain/give up and hope for the government are welcome to do so. Those, who want to take action, here is your survival guide.

Therefore, I would like to show you a few ways that you dear shop owners can go online in a very short time and keep your sales running. If you need help with this, take a look at our offer for enterprise websites and premium shops.

Sales channel: Facebook


The smallest possible solution is simply a Facebook page. Orders can be accepted via the message function, Whatsapp or email. You only need a Facebook account and a Paypal account to accept payments.

Facebook also offers the option for site operators to set up a shop directly on the site.

A simple website


What you need:

  • An email account
  • Optional: a Facebook and WhatsApp account

Another simple alternative is of course your company website. If you don’t have your own website yet, you can e.g. Create one in a few steps via wix.com, weebly.com or jimdo.com (without transaction fees).

In this variant too, I would simply put a product / price list online and ask your customers to order via WhatsApp, email or Facebook Messenger. In this case, you can also easily process the payment without cash using PayPal.

Results can be generated quickly and easily here, but you quickly reach the limits of the whole, which is why you can offer your customers premium digital experiences with our enterprise websites.

A simple online shop


What you need:

  • An email account
  • Optional: a Facebook and WhatsApp account


There are countless online shop solutions and each has its advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion, shopify offers one of the simplest and fastest variants. Shopify can be used for 90 days free of charge and afterwards for a very small fee. Shopify offers all payment methods in their system natively.

Results can be generated quickly and easily, but you quickly reach the limits of the whole, which is why you can offer your customers premium digital experiences with our shops.

Securing liquidity with vouchers


If you are a service provider (e.g. beauty salons, hairdressers, cafes, …) you can of course not use any of the above solutions. Nevertheless, there are ways to ensure your liquidity. The easiest way is to sell vouchers online. I have listed some services and platforms for this above. (Thanks again to everyone who launched this so quickly!)
